Hazel Crest Announces New E-COM 911 Alerting to Keep Community Informed During Emergency Situations
Public Safety Officials Encourage Residents to Sign Up for Local Emergency Notifications To Be Better Prepared for an Emergency
The Village of Hazel Crest public safety officials announce that E-COM 911 Alerts is now available to all residents, replacing the previous OnSolve CodeRED system. E-COM 911 Alerting is a free service hosted by Rave Mobile Safety that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from state and local authorities to stay informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other critical emergencies.
The switch to E-COM 911 Alerts allows residents to receive alerts via phone, text and email, and answer any poll questions that will give the Village officials critical information during emergency situations. Individuals who are signed up for alerts will receive reliable information about emergency situations, including tailored updates based on their specific needs and geographic location.
Individuals who were previously signed up for a OnSolve CodeRED account may already have been automatically enrolled in E-COM 911 Alerting, but all past CodeRED subscribers are encouraged to sign up to E-COM 911 Alerting to migrate and/or update their information to the new citizen emergency messaging platform to ensure accuracy of critical emergency messages. Residents and travelers to the Village who were not previously signed up for OnSolve CodeRED should sign up for free at https://rb.gy/6dxu4 to receive timely and actionable emergency alerts via email, text, or voice.
