Construction Specifications for Satellite Dish Installations
Prior to the installation of any satellite dish, the following is required:
- Contractor must register with Village, providing a copy of their current Certificate of
Insurance.
- Permit application to be filled out by either owner or contractor. Permit fee is $25.00
for each dish.
- Plat of Survey MUST be submitted with permit application, showing proposed location of
satellite dish.
- A copy of the dish specifications must also be provided.
- Satellite antennas over 2-feet in diameter must comply to Sections 1610.0 and 1611.0 of
the BOCA National Building Code.
Placement of Satellite Dish
- Satellite dishes may be roof-mounted (method of attachment to roof must be submitted in
detail. This should include drawings and hardware showing the actual method being used).
- Dish cannot be less than 8-feet off of property lines. No installations will be allowed
in any easement or right-of-way.
After installation, an inspection is required to check placement and electrical
connections of the satellite dish.
